AL BUSSLAN (la ciambella)

400 gr. flower - 180 gr. sugar - 100 gr. butter - 3 eggs - ½ glass milk - 1 packet baking powder - grated lemon rind - salt.
Lay flower on the table, make a hole in the centre and put in the hole soft butter, sugar, 3 egg yolks, a little bit of salt, some grated lemon rind, the baking powder; knead, adding milk slowly. Drop the dow obtained in a greased garland cake tin or roll it in a greased garland shaped cake tin (in this case the dough should be firmer); bake for about 1 hour at low heat (180°). Before baking you may spread the surface with the white of an egg, granulated sugar and chopped almonds
